The 4th of July

The day the USA, celebrates their Independence, from The British Empire.

Back in 1776, the loss seemed minor and frankly irrelevant. If only the Red Coats could see the power of America now!

A lot has changed since 1776, the war of 1812, the British set the White House alight, then 2 World Wars, which cemented, what seems to be an eternal friendship and a special alliance.

Now, it is the British who are struggling with a new Empire, the European Union. Fighting a diplomatic war for sovereignty, externally and internally!

Will the 23rd of June, ever become the British Independence day, celebrated on a par with the 5th of November?

If the UK achieves BREXIT, would reunification be out of the question?

But, on a wider term. The USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (The 5 Eyes) are natural allies and would work well in a confederate set up.

The rise of China and India pose a threat to American dominance, a new global confederacy, is the only way to keep the Anglosphere on top for the foreseeable future.

Lets hope, the modern day American, has a greater vision, than the historical Red Coat!
